Dr. Robyn Duncan, PT, DPT
Robyn Duncan is a licensed physical therapist who earned her doctorate in physical therapy in 2014. She received her certification from the American Physical Therapy Association as an exercise expert for the aging adult in 2010.
Robyn has a passion for seeing people of all ages SHIFT their mindset to lifelong wellness and performance. She is interested in walking alongside those who desire a supervised program and designing exercise to meet the individual’s goals. Robyn is currently pursuing her sports certification and learning more about nutrition, rest, exercise and how they are all essential. It is important to always look at the whole person when helping determine realistic goals. Exercising correctly is just as important as performing exercise in the prevention of injury and illness.
It is our goal to help Swain county and the surrounding areas to achieve wellness and performance while preventing injury and illness.

We are so excited to partner with Smoky Mountain Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy! We see this as the perfect transition for those graduating from rehabilitation. It’s at that time in their lives that people need a SHIFT in mentality from “patient to participant” and take an active role in the continued progress of their health!
We also know that as we age sometimes we will require the assistance of a therapist to recover and we are happy to be able to be next door to Gabe Peterson, PT, MPT and Robyn Duncan, PT, DPT, CEEFAA as they provide physical therapy in the same location! Look for many exciting developments and community education events to occur as we work together for your wellness and performance!
